Facilities at trailhead
Restrooms and a trail map are provided at the trailhead. The day was overcast. (Photo by kcameron)
Llamas
These llamas were in a pasture next to the trailhead. (Photo by kcameron)
Long trail
It looks like a trail through the woods, but the trees give away to pasture on both sides. (Photo by kcameron)
Fall colors

West perimeter multi-use trail
In addition to hiking, this is also an equestrian and mountain bike trail. (Photo by kcameron)
Big Tree
We came across this huge tree about a half mile north of the paved road. (Photo by kcameron)
Steep Hill
This hill was the most challenging part of the hike. If you prefer to go down, then hike the loop in a counter-clockwise direction. I'd estimate the elevation change at about 150 feet. (Photo by kcameron)
Rocky Road
The most scenic part of the hike is the first half-mile of the foot path. (Photo by kcameron)
