Comments: Hiked the southwest portion of the trail today (between mile markers 6 and 11) and the weather could scarcely be better. Still, I only saw two other people on the trail. Monarch butterflies were on the move and as usual the Turkey and Black Vultures were riding the currents above. The grass is starting to grow up, so the time to hit this trail may be now before things start to get a bit more overgrown.
