Comments:

Leg 1 -  Playground parking area > Horny Toad > Tsajilla Flats > Nature Trail > Lanky Lackey > WS to LL Connector > Burkett Park     3.8 miles

Leg 2 -  Burkett Park > Winding Snake > Chaparral > Red Dam Loop > Chaparral > Playground parking area     3.4 miles

Temps started at 39 and ended at 68.  Sunny with a constant WNW 5-10mph breeze.

Easy hike along easy to see trails.  Major portions of this hike were through trails that had been part of the prescribed burn a few weeks ago.  Significant portions of Tasajilla Flats, Nature Trail Winding Snake and Red Dam Loop were blackened which revealed a couple of bags worth of old cans and bottles.  No animals spotted and only a few birds although I saw a Rofous Sided Towhee and a pair of Black Buzzards.

Not much else to report.

NOTES

Water, shade, info kiosk, toilets and a bicycle repair station are available at Playground Parking Area.

Water, shade, info kiosk and dry toilets available at Burkett Park.
