When I say hike I mean I was behind a self-propelled lawn mower doing trail maintenance with the Golden Triangle Sierra Club. Started mowing at mile 6.3 and headed West. The trail was very open and I only mowed some small brush and occasional grassy spots. Mowed to mile 10 where we met up with group working in from FR 136. I went through one deep creek crossing, not fun with a mower. Couple of logs across the trail, but easy to step over.  Mowed open some brushy/grassy spots, but this section is very open and easy to see far into the forest. Nothing like the Lone Star Hiking Trail's green wall. Mowed out to truck. We made in back to the truck and drove to FR 136 & Jones Cemetary road.

Started to down the dirt cemetery road that the trail travels down, but when I got to the cemetery it was very over grown. Two of us mowed and cut brush to get it, at least, partially open and respectable looking. Still needs more work. Rest of the group continued to cut brush up the trail.

Mile 0 - 15 has been cleared and trail markers installed. March 15th is next workday..... come out and help.  See facebook page for details
