Comments:

Out     Burkett park > Suzanne's Trail > Roller Coaster > West Potts Creek > Armadillo > Turkey Creek > River Bend > service road (ENE) > Cougar Overlook     5.3 miles

Return  Cougar Overlook > Flintstone > Playground> Armadillo > East Potts Creek > Burkett Trail > Burkett Park    4.8 miles

Temps in the low 70's to start, low 80's at end, steady breeze, mostly cloudy turning to mostly sunny.

A very good day to hike!  I saw a Great Horned Owl right at the start of the hike, otherwise just the usual birds on the trails.  A few lizards scurried and two rats were also observed.

This log entry brings me to 1,000 logged miles!!

NOTES

Water, shade, info kiosk and dry toilets available at Burkett Park.

Water, shade and info kiosk available at 5 Points Junction - where Turkey Creek, River Bend and Flintstone trails intersect.  If you follow my route, you will pass this area on the way out and on the return.  Suggest you hydrate both times.

Shade and info kiosk available at Bell's Point - on the return leg, about .5 mile South on Playground Trail.
