Out    Playground parking area > Tasajilla Flats > Nature Loop > Lanky Lackey > Suzanne's Trail > Burkett Park      4.3 miles

Return Burkett Park > Winding Snake > Chaparral > Playground parking area          3.4 miles

Cool, windy, overcast day.

With all the recent record setting rains, the North Shore of the park is closed so we decided to see what damage, if any, was done to the South SHore trails.  Besides occassional muddy spots on the trail, the trails were in pretty good shape.  The vegetation is growing and in some cases, it covers the trail(s) but the damage was a lot less severe than I though it would be.

Saw a few birds and lots of cactus blooms!  Otherwise, not much to report.

NOTES
