South Shore Playground to Burkett Park

Three Little Javalinas
Maybe not so little but they looked more juvenile than adult. Of course they spotted us first so I only have a picture of their rear as they wandered deeper into the thicket.

Out      Playground > Tasajilla Flats > Horny Toad > Nature Loop > Lanky Lackey > connecting trail to Burkett Park > Burkett Park         3.0 miles

Return  Burkett Park > Winding Snake > Chaparral > Playground      2.8 miles

Cooler temps and a light breeze with some FOG (which for this park is unusual).

Saw a couple of bucks, one a six point and the other an eight pointer, as we were driving to the parking area -  by the time I had the camera out, they were gone.  Trails were "crowded" with two mountain bikers, one hiker and one walker PLUS three javalinas just off the Lanky Lackey trail near Burkett Park.

As usual trash was found, to include GU packets, but for the most part it was old stuff.  Not much else happening

NOTES

Water, shade, info kiosk and toilets available at the Playground parking area.
