East Fork Trailhead

This trail is commonly used for horses; and while none of the signs said anything about dogs, I assume this is why they aren't wanted on the trail. [Trinity Trail]

Good place for a doggie walk.

Rating: 3stars Difficulty: 1star Solitude: 1star
Distance: 0.50 Mile Duration: 15 minutes

This tar-paved trail is a rectangle shape and goes around baseball diamonds and open space used for soccer and football practices. You can park your car there, bring your dogs for a walk, then be right back where you started--or just take two or three laps. There are people there almost all the time, so this isn't a walk for solitude, but it's a great place to bring your dogs for a walk. Lots of trees around the perimeter, and lots of open air in the middle. Click on the map view of the google map to see what it looks like.

A trail to keep returning to.

Distance: 2.00 Miles Duration: 1 hour

This is a nine-mile trail, sometimes near roads, often not. It hugs the edge of Lake Lavon and has some really beautiful views. Horses frequent the trail and it forks off in different directions at points. Watch your step--the earth beneath your feet has caved in in places, though I didn't find spots deeper than a foot.
