Great get-a-away trail
Bonham State Park - 7/4/2008  [View Log Page]
Rating: 3stars Difficulty: 2stars Solitude: 4stars
Distance: 11.00 Miles Duration: 4 hours

We took the chance and going to the trails on the 4th of July... thinking the park would be overwhelmed, but we were surprized how few people were there. It made the hike fun and easy to manuver with a few semi-steep hills. Overall the trails are cleared with alot of trees to rest under. It's shared with bikers and hikers alike, so be attentive and take alot of agua. :-)

Great for beginners
Lake Tawakoni State Park - 6/21/2008  [View Log Page]
Rating: 3stars Difficulty: 2stars Solitude: 4stars
Distance: 6.00 Miles Duration: 1 hour, 30 minutes

The trail was nice- not hard to follow and would be great for beginners. We were lucky and were the only hikers on the trail so we could work it at our own pace.  Tree coverage is great making it easy to hike during the hottest days. I would reccomend this to a family looking to enjoy a good hike with a little bit of adventure.

Lake Mineral Wells State Park and Trailway - 3/8/2008  [View Log Page]
Rating: 4stars Difficulty: 3stars Solitude: 4stars
Distance: 5.50 Miles Duration: 2 hours, 30 minutes

The trail was easy to follow and made it easy to share with mountain bikes. I would recommend this these trails to families that want to walk together without having to walk in a line. Tree coverage was at a minimum because of the time of the year, but we got lucky when the weather was fair- not too cold and not too hot. We plan to go back and try to hike the whole trailway... wow!
