Comments:

The western part of the loop stays pretty close to the road. There were a good number of wildflowers while I was there but not much else.

The eastern part of the loop stays close to the creek. However, there are only a few places where you get a good view. I did see a few snakes.

The parking for the trail is on Old Spicewood Springs road just east of Spicewood Springs Road. The trailhead is across the street and is just a short distance from the Bull Creek Greenbelt trail. You can easily walk under Spicewood Springs to get between the two, although there is no sidewalk.
