The best destination hike in Palo Duro

The trail leading to the first "step" towards the base of the Lighthouse is steep and somewhat eroded. Here's what it looks like from above.

Comments: This hike leads to the signature rock formation in the park, the Lighthouse. We got an early start and saw only one other person on the trail heading out. The difficulty would be cut way down if you turn around at the base of the Lighthouse. Climbing up the two steps to get to the top contributes to my rating. We encsountered numerous people heading back from the Lighthouse and it is the most popular trail in the park, with good reason.
