I hiked the Sims Bayou Hike & Bike Trail (Section 3) to complete my hike of all three (disconnected) trail sections of the Sims Bayou. Section 3 is probably the nicest section of them all in terms of the general scenery and condition of the trail (even though some parts of the trail are in bad shape). The bayou is definitely wider here than upstream in section 1.
My only complaint is there is no signage. You don't even know you are hiking the Sims Bayou Hike & Bike Trail unless you planned to come here. There is no formal parking area. I parked in a lot at Sims Bayou Park (no trail there), then walked over the bayou to start the hike along the south side of the bayou. I walked all the way to Scott St. (a 1/4 mile past the end of the trail), then turned around.
