I hiked part of the "Orange" Knobby Knees Trail as part of my hike of Liberty Municipal Park.  You can read my log of that hike here.

I think this will be a nice trail once it is finished, but currently it is in a very primitive state.  Also, at this time of year, there are THOUSANDS of caterpillars that hand down from every tree branch (I'm not sure if they're silkworms or what!), but as you hike aloing the trail you get caught up in all of their threads.  Although the caterpillars are harmless, you end up with 30 or 40 of them crawling all over you and in your hair.  That's a little annoying.  To make matters worse, the feeling of their silky threads on your skin is the same feeling you get when you walk through a spider web.  You just want to get the webs off of you.  Needless to say, it is not a pleasant sensation.  I used a long branched stick and waved it in front of me like an advancing fencer to knock them down before I walked through them, but this didn't help much.  I still got covered by them.
