Hermann Park

Hermann Park is a large park near the Houston Zoo, Museum District and Medical Center.  The trail is a wide unpaved gravel path that runs around the perimeter of a golf course.  There is a path that cuts across the park, too, as well as numerous trails running around the zoo and the nearby Brays Bayou.

I hiked Hermann Park after hiking the Columbia Tap Rail-Trail since it was closeby and I wanted to get some additional mileage.  The park is nice, especially the huge rows of oak trees that straddle the trail.  It's a good place to exercise and many do exactly that.
