Comments:

The Hockley Recreational Complex is a really neat place.  It sits adjacent to the Hockley Community Center and offers a nice playground for kids, picnic/bbq areas, amphitheater, and a nice walking path around a scenic, man-made pond.

One of the coolest features of this park is it has a long, two-lane soap box derby racing track!  It starts at the top of a large mound and races downhill until it flattens out by the finish line.  There are bleachers and a concession stand, too!

The trail is paved asphalt and it goes around a pond with two little islands.  It's not obvious from the ground, but if you look at the park map you'll see the pond has been shaped in the image of a soap box derby racing car.  Nice touch!

The path is not very long (1/2 mile), but there's lots to see and do and this park is very well made.
