Comments:

Before I start my review, let me say that there are no parking lots at this park.  You'll have to park along one of the subdivision streets nearby and walk to this park.

The Gary and Bonnie Trietsch Park is another example of how the Harris County Flood Control and Parks and Recreation services have collaborated to increase the functionality of the public land.  It's primary purpose is a reservoir to hold flood water, but the banks are maintained by the park service so people can walk on or bike the paths.

Although this sits in a subdivision area, I saw a few herons "fishing" for their food in the watery areas.  Also, some turtles.  The trail is long enough to stretch out your legs, but the scenery isn't all that interesting.
