One of the best hikes in Central Texas

Ferns
Like Enchanted Rock, Inks Lake is home to plants that find a way, somehow, to find a cool, shady place in which to grow.

Comments: My girlfriend and I enjoyed this hike more the average outing. Despite the hot temperatures the rolling terrain over domes of granite are both interesting and challenging. Despite crossing the road a couple of times we encountered few people on the trail. In the back part of the loop it seemed like we had the whole park to ourselves. Throw in lots of bird and animal sightings and you have the recipe for fun hiking.
