Comments: This was my first hiking trip and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a very nice "workout" hike that will get you breathless on the return to the campground. It was really nice to hike into the Ft. Davis and imagine what the people there must have seen a hundred years ago or so (since not much has changed - development wise, that is). We took a break on the viranda of one of the houses there and had a quick snack before heading back up the trail. Sun was cooking us off of the rocks but it was still very pretty.
