Well-maintained urban trail

I've taken my six-year-old on segments of this trail several times. This time we walked from the eastern end in Lion's Park and headed towards downtown, approximately at the halfway point of the trail.After crossing the bridge downtown we were surprised to find a platoon of WWII German soldiers, complete with mauser kar rifles and kubelwagens, camped on either side of the trail. They were part of a re-enactment weekend. We also saw a number of bicyclists and hikers along the way. This is a great family and/or fitness trail.
