The Cypresswood Hike And Bike Path is a trail that starts across the street from Lakewood Crossing Park, a small neighborhood park on Cypresswood Drive near Jones Road.
There is a small white sign pointing to where the trail is. That's it! No trail name or information. The trail is paved for approximately 1/3 mile and goes along a flood reservoir. The paved trail ends, but a dirt trail continues (and that's where the hiking fun starts!)
The trail continues around the reservoir and then goes along the bank of Cypress Creek. It goes under the bridge at Cypresswood Drive and the bridge at Jones Road. Along the way, the trail branches off at various points, but all branches generally rejoin the main trail.
The Cypresswood Hike And Bike Path is an informal system of dirt hike/bike trails. The trail I hiked basically goes past the Jones Road bridge and swings around behind the HP (Hewlett-Packard) campus, but there it joins the paved asphalt Cypress Creek Hike & Bike Trail. You can read my log of that trail here.
